Trainee Energy Advisors covers foundational theory, training, and competency profiles for energy advisors, multi-
unit residential projects (MURB), service organization managers (SOM), and quality assurance specialists (QAS).
Re-certification guidelines are also included to ensure continued compliance.
Additional Training Resources offers specialized courses, including blower door testing for single, dual-fan, and
multi-zone setups, as well as geometry, math, and other technical skills relevant to energy assessments.
Probationary Files outlines structured requirements for home energy assessments, detailing Matterport usage, file
expectations, and both guided and independent evaluations for ERS, Step Code, Net Zero, and Tier CodeĀ standards.
Existing Energy Advisors focuses on administrative tools and processes such as booking systems, HOT2000
modelling, status tracking, and report generation, ensuring efficient workflow management.
Quality Assurance & Additional Certifications provides training on Step Code and Tier Code compliance, large
building blower door testing, Net Zero readiness, mechanical system design (ventilation, ductwork, hydronic
heating), and advanced building science principles.
Customer Training is designed for external partners and clients, covering key topics such as building science,
ventilation strategies, and Step Code compliance, helping to bridge knowledge gaps within the industry.
Engineering & Software Training delivers instruction on industry-relevant software, including AutoCAD, Moodle
(VT Knowledge LMS), Bluebeam, EnergyPlus, Wrightsoft, and HAP (Hourly Analysis Tool from Carrier).
